Finalists for the 2003 Canadian Pacific Railway Better Newspapers Competition (BNC) will be announced on April 21 at 10:00 a.m., EST.
Finalists will be listed alphabetically on April 21 at www.east-meets-west.ca/bnc .
There were 2,662 entries in the 2003 BNC. Of the 2,662 entries, 122 were to the General Excellence Awards and 2,540 were entries to the Premier and Special Competition Awards categories.
Finalists are invited to attend the BNC Awards ceremony in Vancouver during the joint BCYCNA/CCNA conference.
Originally scheduled to be announced on April 7, the change was put into effect to give judges and staff more time to process the entries.
