Toronto Star editor Michael Cooke has announced several editorial staff changes at the publication. Mike Simpson is leaving the sports section to take over multimedia operations and Jon Filson, deputy city editor, will move to sports. Former Metro editor Dianne Rinehart will join the Star as editor of the weekend Insight section. Cooke also announced that Roger Gillespie will become the new assistant managing editor in charge of visuals and public editor Kathy English will take on his responsibilities in training and development.
