Newspapers Canada is thrilled to present the winners of the 2011 Extras. The Extra Awards celebrate outstanding Canadian newspaper advertising in print and online. The 2011 Extra’s Best of Show is COSSETTE Quebec with its outstanding campaign for Korrigane, “Une pub faite à la main pour des bières faites à la main.”
Suzanne Raitt, vice president of marketing and innovation for Newspapers Canada, expressed her delight with the quality and quantity of creative work found in Canadian newspapers and on their sites. “This year we had more online entries than ever before and you will see some outstanding examples were honoured. This year’s Best of Show winner and many of Gold’s are ad campaigns that were uniquely designed to fit the medium – enhancing their effectiveness!”
