Globe columnist leaves paper for Sportsnet

Sports columnist Stephen Brunt is leaving The Globe and Mail to take a full-time position with Rogers Sportsnet. Brunt began at the Globe as an arts intern at age 25 in 1982. He went on to work in the news department before joining the sports section in 1985. He has been nominated for several National Newspaper Awards and received the Michener award in 1988 for a series on negligence and corruption in boxing.

In his new position, Brunt will be a back-page columnist for Sportsnet magazine, a feature contributor on sportsnet.ca and co-host on Sportsnet Radio.
