La Presse unveils new branding strategy across all platforms

French daily La Presse has renamed its online site Cyberpresse to LaPresse.ca in an effort to unify the branding for its print, online and mobile products. The changes include a more user-friendly website layout, a new mobile application (the Cyberpresse app becomes La Presse Mobile) and a more modern logo to be used on all platforms.

La Presse president and publisher Guy Crevier explained the decision behind the changes: “Like any communications group, it is important to have a strong, unified brand. So it is perfectly natural for us to build on La Presse as our flagship brand and to leverage it on all our media platforms in order to present a simpler more consistent product.”
