Five individuals will be recognized with lifetime achievement awards at the upcoming Newspapers Atlantic conference. The regional association’s board of directors unanimously voted to honour Bill Bowman, Carbonear Compass; Frank MacDonald, Invernss Oran; Fred Hatfield, Yarmouth County Vanguard; Heather Moore, Montague Eastern Graphic and Maurice Aube, Bathurst Northern Light.
All of the recipients will be recognized at the association’s Better Newspapers Competition awards gala May 12 in Halifax at the Marriott Harbourfront Hotel.
Newspapers Atlantic represents 70 papers in Atlantic Canada with a combined weekly circulation of 700,000.
