Campus Plus seeking an advertising professional to serve on its board of directors

Campus Plus, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Canadian University Press, is seeking an advertising professional to serve on its board of directors as the Industry Representative.

The Industry Representative is a non-voting director and serves as an advisor to the board. The position is an unpaid volunteer position and the Campus Plus board meets approximately four times per year–two in person and two via Skype.

This is an ideal opportunity for sales leaders looking to mentor student journalists and up-and-coming media professionals. Suitable candidates would have a minimum of five years’ professional experience in planning and executing regional and national ad campaigns. Some experience with online advertising is preferable.

Canadian University Press is a national, non-profit co-operative, owned and operated by more than 80 student newspapers from coast to coast. Campus Plus is the national ad agency of the campus press, representing over 100 newspapers with a total weekly circulation of 450,000.
