Young Canadian newspaper journalists have just a few days left to submit entries for the 2012 Goff Penny Awards. The deadline for this year’s competition is Friday, March 22. The prestigious national awards program offers cash prizes to two individuals working or writing for daily newspapers in two circulation classes: under 25,000 and 25,000 and over.
Entries will be evaluated by a panel of industry judges and the two winners selected will receive $1,500 each in prize money and will be recognized at the upcoming INK+BEYOND newspaper conference in Ottawa.
Submission packages—including all articles, entry forms and memoranda—must be postmarked on or before 11:59pm on Friday, March 1 and delivered to the Newspapers Canada office at:
