Newspapers Canada’s Fall 2013/Winter 2014 webinar series continues in November with training sessions on leadership strategies and the impact that social search is having on reader behaviour. Registration for each presentation is $25.00 for CNA and CCNA members ($50 for non-members) or by subscription.

The Art of the Comeback

Kubas Primemedia president Tim Daniel will lead a motivational presentation on how newspapers can come back from defeat to win over the competition for readers and advertisers. Attendees will be inspired by real-life examples of how newspapers can thrive by nurturing innovators and innovations. Social Search and How It’s Changing Consumer Behaviour

The following week we’ll turn our focus to the power of social search and how it’s fundamentally changing the way people find news and information. Speakers Steve Buors and Kirk Allen from Reshift Media will provide an overview of what social search is and how it is enabling this shift in consumption. These expert speakers will walk through practical examples for Google and Facebook search and demonstrate how social signals impact reader behaviour.
