Newspapers Canada has contacted Canadian Heritage regarding the 2014-2015 application materials for the Aid to Publishers (ATP) component of the Canada Periodical Fund (CPF). Publishers should note that the 2014-2015 Applicant’s Guide and Application Form will be made available in the near future.
Canadian Heritage assures that there will be no changes to the Applicant’s Guide or the Application Form for the upcoming funding cycle. Publishers can use last year’s materials as a reference point to begin collecting the necessary data to apply to the program. The application deadline date for the 2014-2015 funding cycle will be revised to reflect the delayed release of the forms.
Once the Applicant’s Guide and Application Form are launched, Canadian Heritage will contact all previous recipients via email. Newspapers Canada will contact our members through a special member bulletin and in a notice in our weekly e-newsletter.
The ATP component of CPF provides financial assistance to paid-circulation non-daily newspapers and paid or request circulation magazines. Eligibility and funding amounts are calculated using a circulation-based formula.
