The Ontario Media Development Corporation has launched a new pilot program to fund innovative and entrepreneurial ideas in Canadian businesses. The Collaboration and Innovation Fund (CIF) is designed to promote next generation business evolution in Ontario’s entertainment and creative cluster.
The CIF will provide funding for new business concepts and strategies that support the development, production and exploitation of intellectual property. Projects should be focused on new approaches and unique opportunities that are innovative to the applicant company, and which will increase the company’ s financial viability and business
The funding program will be delivered in two phrases: eligible applicants can receive up to $7,500 for project development costs in phase one and up to $150,000 for project implementation and production costs in phase two.

The application deadline for phase one is March 30, 2015. The application deadline for phase two is August 12, 2015.
