National Conference sessions cover latest trends in Public Policy and Human Resources

Senior newspaper executives can hear the latest developments in public affairs and workplace management during a special series of afternoon sessions at this year’s National Conference in Toronto on May 22. The Public Policy and HR track of the conference program will begin with a presentation on the important role newspapers play in civic engagement. Next up, delegates will hear updates on two key public affairs issues: recycling and the National Media Council. Finally, Lise Maclean, senior human resources consultant and workplace investigator from Wiser Workplaces, will be leading a session on the latest trends in human resources. Maclean’s presentation will include a practical overview of a number of hot HR issues, including talent shortages, duty to accommodate, sexual harassment, virtual work teams, workforce analytics and much more.

These sessions are open to all registered delegates but will be of special interest publishers, owners, general managers, VPs, directors, editors, newsroom leaders and anyone in a supervisory role.
