Last month, a coalition of professional associations, unions and media organizations has launched a new advertising campaign highlighting the value and benefits of professional journalism.
Newspapers Canada is one of the many sponsors of the JournalismIs campaign, an industry-wide initiative that includes ads designed to rally the wider community of journalists and media workers, media corporations and media consumers to increase awareness, recognition and support for professional journalism.
The advertising component of the campaign includes digital ads in three different designs, a video ad in both online and TV broadcasting formats, and print ads in generic and custom templates.
The launch of the JournalismIS ad campaign and website (journalismis.ca) marks the first phase of a longer-term effort to mobilize the media industry and the public to support concerted action to preserve and promote professional journalism in the future.
