Statcan reports retail sales up again in May 2015

Retail sales were up 1% to a total of $43 billion according to the Statcan Retail Trade report for May 2015. This is the third increase in four months after steep declines in December and January. Sales were up for 92% of retail trade, in 9 out of 11 measured sectors. Retail sales were up in nine provinces, with Ontario, Nova Scotia and BC accounting for the majority. Saskatchewan was the only province to post weaker sales.
