Charlottetown Guardian publisher Don Brander retires

Don Brander, longtime publisher of The Guardian in Charlottetown, retired at the end of November. Brander started his journalism career at The Guardian in the circulation department 44 years ago.

He held various different senior leadership roles at newspapers across the country before eventually becoming a director of operations for TC Media.

In 2013, Brander received a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medal in recognition of his contributions to Canadian journalism. His final day at The Guardian was November 27.
