NNAs and CCNAs honour Canada’s outstanding newspaper journalism

Daily and community newspapers are invited to submit their best work from 2015 for two of the industry’s most prestigious national awards programs. The National Newspaper Awards are now accepting entries from English and French-language daily newspapers in more than 22 awards categories covering breaking news, column writing, multimedia initiatives and more. Meanwhile, non-daily publications of are invited to submit outstanding editorial work for the 2016 Canadian Community Newspaper Awards. Experienced industry experts will serve on the judging panels for each of these bilingual competitions.

The official deadline for the 2015 National Newspaper Awards is January 15. Finalists will be announced on March 15 and the final winners will be revealed at the NNA Awards Gala on May 27 in Edmonton Alberta. For more information, visit http://www.nna-ccj.ca.

Community newspapers have until Friday, January 29 to submit their entries for the annual Canadian Community Newspaper Awards. Enter before the early bird deadline on January 22, 2016, for a chance to win up to $1,500 to use towards the cost of attending the Newspapers Canada conference in Edmonton, Alberta, on May 27, 2016.
