Nine out of ten adults read newspapers

Newspapers Canada continues to track newspaper readership across different platforms and by time of day.

The most recent study, 2016: Newspapers 24/7, was conducted in January 2016 and confirms the continued strength of newspaper readership across demographics. More people are embracing technology to read newspapers and they are doing this while still reading in print.

Newspapers-24-7-2016-Topline-Results-Overview_FINAL-300x225Nine out of ten Canadians (87%) report reading a newspaper on any platform (print, desktop/laptop, phone or tablet) each week, and more than a quarter (27%) are reading newspaper content on all four platforms.

Newspapers Canada has prepared a PowerPoint presentation to provide an overview of the top line results for Canadian adults.
