Daily newspapers grabbing attention of Millennials: Report

A new industry study reveals that newspapers reach more than three-quarters of millennials when measured on a weekly basis.

The report, published by Vividata, which studies audience-level data for newspapers and magazines, says daily newspaper reach 77 per cent of Millennials (18-34 year olds) on an average week. As well, the study reports that digital and cross-platform readership is strongest among Millennials.

The reach of daily newspapers is even stronger among older Canadians, the report says. For example, the reach of daily newspapers increases to 85 per cent of adults who are over 50 years old.
