Former Whig-Standard columnist Lyndon Jones dies at 96

Longtime Kingston Whig-Standard staff writer Lydon Jones passed away on September 16 at age 96. Jones worked in the newsroom at the daily paper in Kingston, Ontario from 1960 until 1985, and he continued to write columns and opinion pieces following his retirement.

He covered a number of different beats during his time with the paper, including labour reporter, military reporter and wire editor.
