Saskatchewan community will continue to be served by weekly newspaper

Last month, when the Waterfront Regional Star published its final issue, there was concern that Lumsden, Sask. and the area southwest of Last Mountain Lake would be without a community newspaper.

Those fears have been eliminated thanks to the Lumsden-based staff from the Waterfront Regional Star, as they will continue operating as part of the Nokomis-based Last Mountain Times, reports Global News.

The Last Mountain Times is an independent business owned by the Degenstien family from Govan, Sask. It has been published continually under different names since 1908.
