Canadians read newspapers in print and digital formats

Data from the Newspapers 24/7 study confirms that Canadians continue to read newspapers in all formats.

The 2017 study finds that almost nine in ten (85 per cent) of Canadians read newspapers on any platform (print, computer, tablet, smartphone). Digital platforms have been developed in combination with the print reading habit, as three in ten Canadians report reading on ALL FOUR platforms.

Not surprisingly reading habits differ by demographics; the printed product is the top choice for Baby Boomers while reading news content on a smartphone is the preference for Millennials.
