Lakeland Regional newspaper says goodbye

Residents of Cold Lake, Alberta, may have noticed the Lakeland Regional, one of the local community newspapers, hasn’t arrived in their mailbox over the last few weeks as it usually has over the last several years. This is because the paper, owned by Great West Newspapers, has ceased publication.

All residents living in the Town of Bonnyville started getting free home delivery of the Nouvelle, which was formally only available by subscription.
An e-edition of the Nouvelle is also available online free of charge and the paper will be launching a new website later this month.
You can read more about this closure here.
