Toronto Star celebrates its 130th anniversary with new resource to help teachers and parents

The Toronto Star celebrated its 130th anniversary last week. As part of the hallmark event, the Star released a free media literacy resource dedicated to helping teachers and parents to critically engage youth with the media they encounter on a daily basis.

The resource is called ‘For the Record’ and provides tip-sheets on topics ranging from investigative journalism, to court reporting, to being vigilant against ‘fake news’.

The full resource is available here.
