Remembering Tony Westell

Veteran newsman Tony Westell passed away on April 1. He was 91 years old.

He and his family emigrated to Canada in 1956, and Tony was sent to head the Globe and Mail’s Ottawa bureau in the early 1960s. As his obituary notes, he later moved to the Toronto Star, as a political columnist. He also taught journalism at Carleton University, in Ottawa.

He will be remembered.
