This presentation, based on research conducted in 2016 by Totum Research for Newspapers Canada, highlights five strengths of community newspapers including multi-platform readership, reasons for reading and automotive advertising.

highlighted in the presentation, a community newspaper classified ad campaign outperformed Facebook advertising, proving that printed community newspapers are the original social media.
