Raise-a-Reader Day brings in $2 Million

Volunteers in 27 Canadian cities hit the streets last week to help raise an estimated $2 million for Postmedia’s Raise-a-Reader Day.  Proceeds from the fundraising event, that began under Canwest in 2002, will go toward family literacy programs. Postmedia CEO Paul Godfrey called the day "a marquee event" for the company, a growing tradition that will continue to hold a special place in the chain
