World Press Freedom Day luncheon to be held during INK+BEYOND conference

Newspapers Canada and The Canadian Committee for World Press Freedom will join together to recognize World Press Freedom Day on Friday, May 3rd during the annual INK+BEYOND newspaper conference.

All registered conference delegates will be invited to attend a very special World Press Freedom Day awards luncheon featuring Charlie Sennott, co-founder of the GlobalPost.

An award-winning foreign correspondent with 25 years of experience, Sennott will give an inspiring keynote address titled “Ground Truth in a Digital Age” during which he will share his views on the enormous challenges and rewards for journalists who live and breathe their stories.

The World Press Freedom luncheon is just one of the many can’t-miss events happening during the annual INK+BEYOND newspaper conference in Ottawa this May. The two-day event program also includes speaker sessions, hands-on workshops, valuable networking opportunities and an industry trade show with exhibitors from across North America.
