Celebrate Canada’s best front-page stories from the past 150 years

Newspapers Canada has partnered with PEI 2014 to launch Canada’s first-ever Front Pages Competition. This special nation-wide initiative will recognize the important role newspapers have played in documenting Canada’s history from 1864 to the present.

The competition is open to all current and historic daily and community newspapers from across the country and features eight unique categories:

  • Canadian Politics
  • Canadian Sports
  • Canadian Heroes
  • Canadian Arts/Culture/Entertainment
  • Canadian Science & Technology
  • Canada at War
  • Canadian Communities
  • Canada on the International Stage

The Front Pages Competition gives publications a unique opportunity to engage readers by enlisting them to participate in the entry selection process. Reach out to your community and get creative by setting up an online poll or survey, conducting in-person interviews or designing your own micro-contest to encourage reader suggestions.

Want to help spread the word about the competition? Download our free promotional ads and join the conversation on social media by following @FrontPagesCa on Twitter and liking Front Pages Canada on Facebook.

The entry period is on now until Friday, May 23.
