#DigiCanCon wants to hear from you

On April 23, 2016, the Department of Canadian Heritage launched the first phase of a consultation process on Canadian Content in a Digital World. This pre-consultation phase is designed to collection feedback on issues of importance to Canadians surrounding the creation, discovery and export of locally produced content. As a key member of the Canadian cultural sector, newspapers are invited to provide their input by completing a pre-consultation questionnaire. Survey responses will help shape the next steps of the consultation process. The pre-consultation questionnaire will be available online until May 20, 2016.

In the next phase of the consultations, the Minister of Canadian Heritage will lead an open conversation during which newspapers will have an opportunity to provide more substantial input.

Newspapers can also help spread the word about the initiative on social media using the hashtag #DigiCanCon and by following @CdnHeritage on Twitter.
