CanWest MediaWorks Publications Inc. announced on November 19, 2007, that they have acquired five publications from Windsor-Essex County in Ontario.
The five publications, which are Canadian Community Newspapers Association members, are: the Kingsville Reporter, the Tilbury Times, LakeShore News, Shoreline Week and LaSalle Post.
CanWest acquired the weekly newspapers through a deal for their parent companies, which includes Phoenix Media Group Inc., Cornerstone Publications Inc., and Sims Publications.
