Canada’s news publishers applaud introduction of legislation to level the playing field with Big Tech

News Media Canada, representing more than 500 trusted print and digital titles in every province and territory, welcomes the introduction of Bill C-18, which permits news publishers to negotiate collectively with digital platforms and services, backed up by the teeth of baseball-style final offer arbitration.

Canada Periodical Fund guidelines for 2022-2023 announced

The Collective Initiatives and Business Innovation components of the Canada Periodical Fund (CPF) have launched their Application Guidelines 2022-2023.

Applications for projects will be accepted on an ongoing basis until September 15, 2022.
