Newspapers Canada is pleased to announce the winners of the 2015 Extra Awards. The awards celebrate outstanding newspapers media advertising in print, online, tablet, mobile and more. Rethink took home the most prizes at this year’s awards with three wins for their outstanding work on Splashdown Waterpark, United MMA and Canadian Fair Trade Network. Leo Burnett Toronto, FCB Toronto, Cossette and LG2 each took home one win each.
New this year, our judges decided to simply award winners to honour the outstanding creative, rather than the traditional Gold, Silver and Bronze awards that have been given out in the past.
The annual Extra Awards celebrate excellence in Canadian newspaper advertising across all platforms and are open to creative agencies, freelancers, advertisers, and daily and community newspapers.
