Globe and Mail online series nominated for Emmy Award

The Globe and Mail has been nominated for a News & Documentary Emmy Award for its online series Inside Hamas. The multimedia investigation into the militant group Hamas was nominated in the "New Approaches to News & Documentary Programming: Current News Coverage" category. The Globe and Mail received two Emmy Awards in previous years for multimedia work concerning Afghanistan. The paper was honoured in 2009 for Talking to the Taliban and again in 2010 for Behind the Veil.

The News & Documentary Emmy Awards recognize the outstanding work of journalists and documentarians throughout the news industry. The awards will be presented on Monday, October 1, 2012 at a ceremony in New York City.
