Last chance for young journalists to enter the Goff Penny Awards

There’s still time for young Canadian newspaper journalists to enter their best work for the annual Goff Penny Awards. Early-career daily newspaper journalists (full time staff, interns and freelancers) have until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, February 13 to submit their published work from 2014 for the bilingual competition. Winners are awarded cash prizes of $1,500 in two daily newspaper circulation categories: fewer than 25,000 and 25,000 and over Entrants must be between the ages of 20 to 25 to participate.

Previous winners include Daniel Dale and Jesse McLean of the Toronto Star, Molly Hayes of the Hamilton Spectator and Katie May of the Lethbridge Herald.
