Time is running out for young journalists to enter the Goff Penny Awards

Are you a young Canadian newspaper journalist hoping to make a name for yourself in a competitive industry? Then don’t miss your chance to enter the 2012 Goff Penny Awards. Interested applicants have until Friday, March 1 to submit editorial work for consideration in this year’s competition. The prestigious awards program offers cash prizes of $1,500 to two individuals (between the ages of 20-25) working or writing for daily newspapers in two circulation classes: under 25,000 and 25,000 and over.

Competitors are required to submit four (4) editorial articles published during the 2012 calendar year and all entries must be sponsored by the employing newspaper.
