Ellen van Wageningen becomes Windsor Star’s first female editor in chief

Ellen van Wageningen has been appointed editor in chief at The Windsor Star. Van Wageningen first joined daily paper in 1989, and has been managing editor for more than two years. She previously served as metro editor, business editor and as an award-winning reporter.

She succeeds former editor Marty Beneteau who retired earlier this month. Van Wageningen is the first woman to hold the leadership role in the paper’s 126-year history.
