Improving Digital Imaging Quality for Newspaper Production

Colour expert John Williams from US Ink shows how to dramatically improve your colour production in this special two-hour session on Friday, May 14, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in downtown Toronto. After an overview of colour management, Williams will explain the Photoshop settings and workflow needed to create consistent quality – fast. Included is a demonstration of the critical processes followed by a wrap-up session with more tips and tricks to use for better production methods.  

Speaker: John Williams is a print applications specialist with US Ink/Sun Chemical Corp. He has worked in quality control for USA Today as well as two other Gannett newspapers in Indianapolis and Louisville. He has a bachelor of science degree in newspaper operations management.
