Newspapers Canada Media Credit Conference returns May 2013

The Newspapers Canada Media Credit Conference will be held on May 15-16, 2013 at the Delta Markham Hotel in Toronto, ON. Next year promises to be a challenging year for the media and cash flows will be more important than ever. The annual credit conference will feature a number of speaker sessions and events including a special workshop titled “Time and Tasks,” which will deal with time management strategies.

The workshop will be led by Andrew Sherwood of Progressive Training in Oakville and will be especially beneficial for Outlook users, including both managers and staff.

Another important topic of discussion will be PCI Compliance, which are the required on-going audits for credit cards. This area is a moving target and is costing newspapers and retailers annual costs in the millions of dollars per year. In addition to the usual roundtable topics concerning managing accounts receivable, conference delegates will also be discussing getting a handle on digital agencies billing and payments, central payment services from U.S. agencies.

Further information about the Credit Conference, including a complete conference program, will be released in the New Year.
