NewsTrain is heading to Halifax in 2016

Please note new dates for this event.

NewsTrain is bringing its affordable, high-quality training to Halifax, Nova Scotia, May 6 to 7, 2016. Sponsored by Associated Press Media Editors (APME) and hosted by Newspapers Canada and its partners, the Halifax NewsTrain will be held in conjunction with the Atlantic Journalism Awards gala. Program topics will be determined by a local host committee.

NewsTrain is APME’s renowned national touring workshop that has served journalists in their own cities since 2004. Programs are designed to provide training in the skills, knowledge, and information needed in a rapidly changing media setting, at an affordable cost. NewsTrain’s attendees include frontline editors, department heads, senior editors, reporters, copy editors, visual journalists and online producers working on multiple platforms.
