Historic Ontario newspaper sold to new owner

The Thamesvillle Herald in Ontario has a new owner. Publisher Allison Humphrey has owned the historic paper for 16 years; she first purchased the publication from former owners Orville and Mae Schilbe. Based in Kent County, the Thamesville Herald has been operating since 1886 and has a current circulation of approximately 900.

Humphrey’s final day as publisher will be July 27. The name of the paper’s new owner has not yet been released.
