Key takeaway from the Super Bowl: newspapers matter

Print still reigns supreme when it comes to major event coverage and this year’s Super Bowl was no exception. Front pages from across the United States reacted to the game in many different ways.

The newspaper in New Orleans used their front page to make a powerful statement expressing their displeasure over the result of the NFC championship game which kept their team (the Saints) from playing in the Super Bowl.  The front page was part of a city-wide protest and was intended to tell the story of how the city felt about the Super Bowl.
