Quebecor-owned Sun Media is extending its reach in Ontario with four new weekly newspapers serving communities in Ottawa, Windsor, Kitchener-Waterloo and Guelph. The papers will serve over 400,000 homes and are expected to launch at the end of March.
"The expansion of our community newspaper network is a bold statement of our commitment to the newspaper industry," said Sun Media’s executive vice-president for Central Canada Julia Kamula in a press release. "It also responds directly to the needs of our valued advertising partners, delivering access to an even stronger flyer distribution footprint in highly desirable Ontario markets."
