Toronto Star introduces new subscription model for online content

The Toronto Star will now begin charging readers to access digital content after launching an online subscription program on August 13. Visitors to the Star’s website will be able to access 10 free articles every 30 days before being asked to purchase a Digital Access subscription package. Digital-only subscriptions are being offered at 99 cents for the first month and then $9.99 each subsequent month.

Active print subscribers who pay through an automatic monthly payment and register for home delivery before December 31, 2013 will have complete access to the Star’s web content at no additional charge.
