Globe and Mail looks beyond podcasts for audio opportunities

Learning from the experience of The Atlantic and The New Yorker’s efforts with audio articles, the Globe and Mail has decided to transform paywalled articles into premium quality audio.

The Globe’s thinking, they say, was to offer their audience a way to be able to consume the news organization’s rich content while ‘on the go’.

So far, contributions have been made by prominent Globe journalists, including Jana Pruden, Mark MacKinnon, and Kathryn Blaze Baum.
