Columbia Valley Pioneer and The Invermere Valley Echo partner up

In British Columbia, two community newspapers have entered into a partnership agreement to reduce operating costs. Under their new joint operating agreement, The Columbia Valley Pioneer and The Invermere Valley Echo will work together to share overhead costs—such as administration and accounting—while maintaining entirely separate and distinct editorial content.

The Pioneer will remain a free newspaper and website, while The Valley Echo will continue to be a paid subscription newspaper and charge a fee for website access.
