Former Lucknow Sentinel publisher Pat Livingston receives Silver Quill Award

Pat Livingston, who retired from her position as publisher of the Lucknow Sentinel (ON) in March 2012, recently received a Silver Quill Award from the Canadian Community Newspapers Association (CCNA) in recognition of her years of industry service. Livingston first began her newspaper career in December 1977. She worked in a number of different departments over the course of her 34 years at the Sentinel–including editorial, sales and photography–before becoming the publisher of the community newspaper.

Livingston was presented with the Silver Quill earlier this month by Mike Mount, current president of the Ontario Community Newspapers Association (OCNA).

The CCNA Silver Quill Award recognizes service of 25 years or more. It is presented to any individual who has been actively engaged in the newspaper industry, or an individual who has made a substantial contribution to the newspaper industry in the view of the nominating regional affiliated association.
