Globe columnist Gary Mason receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Globe and Mail columnist Gary Mason is the recipient of the 2015 Bruce Hutchison Lifetime Achievement Award. He will be presented with the award during the 29th Annual Jack Webster Awards dinner on November 4, 2015. Mason first joined the Globe in 2005 and currently serves as a national columnist covering B.C. and western Canadian matters.

Mason began his journalism career 34 years ago as a summer intern for the Canadian Press. He went on to work in various roles at the Victoria Times-Colonist and at The Vancouver Sun, where he worked for almost two decades.

The Jack Webster Foundation established the lifetime achievement award in 1991 in honour of Canadian journalism legend Bruce Hutchison.
