Guelph Mercury reporter Vik Kirsch retires

Longtime Guelph Mercury reporter Vik Kirsch retired at the end of July. Kirsch had been with the daily publication for 26 years and has covered a wide variety of topics, including city hall, business, health and the police beat. He began his newspaper career in 1981 and has worked at a number of other newspapers in the region, including The Temiskaming Speaker, The Northern Daily News and the Orillia Packet and Times.
