William R. Callahan receives AJA Lifetime Achievement Award

Newfoundland journalist William R. Callahan is the winner of the 2014 Atlantic Journalism Awards Lifetime Achievement Award. The award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated a lifetime of dedication to journalism excellence in Atlantic Canada. Callahan has served as a newspaper reporter, photographer, radio and TV Sports writer and broadcaster. He has held positions as the senior executive of The Western Star; The Daily News and The (Evening) Telegram. Callahan will be honoured at the Atlantic Journalism Awards gala dinner and awards event on May 9 in Halifax.
