Vividata: Daily newspaper brands still reach 8 out of 10 Canadians

Vividata’s latest study confirms that Canadians love reading. Eight out of ten Canadians are reached by daily newspapers, in print and digital formats.

Digital readership shows the most growth, from 25% in 2011 to 53% in 2015, but the majority of readers still prefer their printed product.

In 2011 almost three quarters (72%) of Canadians read their printed daily newspaper and in 2015 69% continue to read the printed product. Readership is strong across platforms according to data from the latest release of this single source survey of 38,000 Canadian adults.
